Sea Kayaking Course (Level1)

Objective:

Acquire all the necessary knowledge to be able to go to sea kayaking safely, mastering kayaking and all its related elements.

Subjects:

• What is a kayak, origins, types and its parts.

• Indispensable Basic Material.

• Natural environment and climatology.

• Safety and accident prevention.

• How to paddle and kayak regulation.

• Transport, embarking and disembarking from the beach and pier.

• Kayak navigation techniques and maneuvers.

• Static and dynamic balance control.

• Prevention of the rollover.

• Protocol action in a rollover.

• Protocol action in a rescue.

   

Duration:

The duration of the course is 6 hours, divided in 3 sessions of 2 hours:

Fridays 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The first hour of the course will be theory, the rest will be practice.
The third session is a tour to put into practice all the techniques learned.

Place:

Port of Badalona, Boat ramp.

Price:

140€ / person. It includes all the necessary specific equipment, showers, changing rooms and insurance.

Bring:

Swimsuit, lycra or similar t-shirt, cap or similar, booties or wet shoes, sunscreen and towel.
